Cool! I like her outfit and staff. Good designs! The backgrounds a little messy looking, but not a big deal. I like her expressions, too! Both face and body.

You should make more original characters.

Interesting design. It's nice and well-balanced, but I'd recommend a few more ornaments, patterns or details; particularly in spots like her shirt or her boots that are mostly flat colors. Maybe some feather ornaments, or a colorful pattern that speaks to her inviting and friendly characterization. Just a suggestion.
Other than that, the face and hair are well-drawn and expressive; it works well to speak to her character, at least as it's described in the description.

O love the colors. Some of the details, particularly the face, could use some sharpening up. But a very appealing character design overall.

Composition is great. Good choice of colors and great depth-of-field.

2 things I'd suggest for improvement:

-The Sky is open and empty in the top left. Maybe that is where a title is supposed to go, but if not, it's a lot of wasted space.
- The close-up details could use some cleaning up; mostly in the background with the town. The buildings particularly look a bit lazily done. They're smudgy and blurry; though they look good as a whole composition, when zoomed in to they don't look so great. More detail and cleaned up edges could go a long way; both on the buildings and everywhere else in the background and foreground.

Great interpretation of the classic. I love the use of suction cups on the eye stalks to make them look like tentacles.
